Lake Louise / Hike

Lake Agnes & Mirror Lake

A steady uphill forest hike to a small alpine lake. Tea-house opening is separate from trail access; carry your own food and water.

Shuttle recommended

3–4 hours · 60 min drive from Banff*

Where to park · how to get there

Best plan: reserve Parks Canada from the Lake Louise Ski Resort Park & Ride on Whitehorn Road, or Roam 8X from Banff. Lakeshore parking is $42/day in this season, separate from park entry; it often fills by sunrise. No waiting queue when full. Do not park at the lakeshore to join a Park & Ride reservation. RVs and oversized vehicles cannot park at Lake Louise lakeshore; use the Park & Ride.

When to arrive

Book transport first. Parks Canada releases 60% of seats at 8 am Mountain time two days ahead; check in within your booked window. An early drive is a gamble, not a space guarantee.

Hours & access

Daylight hiking; tea-house hours not verified.

Footing & accessibility

Uphill trail, roots and steps; allow extra time for the descent.
