Lake Minnewanka day use

Big lake and mountain scenery, with a boat-tour option operated separately. Treat trail access and lakefront access as different plans.

Drive or transit

1–2 hours · 20 min drive from Banff*

Sep 15 closure: Lake Minnewanka Trail and Aylmer Pass are closed. Do not plan the shoreline trail/Stewart Canyon extension without checking the closure map. Verify day-use and cruise operations separately.

Where to park · how to get there

Use the signed day-use lot or check Roam Route 6 for seasonal service. Do not use roadside shoulders as overflow. Cruise tickets do not reserve a parking space.

When to arrive

For a booked cruise, follow the operator arrival instructions and leave a substantial parking buffer.
